Revoke
It is possible to revoke digital ID but only the owner can carry out or request this action and must then prove to be the true owner of the digital ID.
Once a revocation has been performed, it is not possible to reactivate the ID and therefore a new digital ID must be applied for.

There are several ways to revoke the digital credentials:
To log in to mitt.audkenni.is with digital ID. On the overview page, click on "Mín skilríki", then an overview of active IDs appears and you can revoke them.
To call the Auðkenni service center at 530 000 and request a callback.
To appear in person at the registration authority with accepted personal ID.
Digital ID in the Auðkenni app can be revoked by selecting "Delete account".
If a telephone company closes a mobile phone number with active digital ID on a SIM card, the digital ID are automatically revoked.
