Request for adaptation

Applications for adaptation requests according to Article 7 of Act No. 85/2018, on equal treatment outside the labor market, can be submitted*

When an application is received, Auðkenni will assess based on the content of the request whether it is possible to accommodate it in such a way that the applicant can use digital ID themselves.

Attention!
Since Auðkenni is under all circumstances prohibited to be handed over to anyone other than the document holder themselves, requests where it is asked for someone other than the document holder to use that person's digital ID cannot be approved.

*According to Article 7, paragraph a, of Act No. 85/2018, on equal treatment outside the labor market, companies, institutions, associations, and public entities must make necessary and appropriate modifications and adjustments, if needed in a particular case, to enable individuals with disabilities to access or enjoy the community outside the labor market on an equal basis with others, provided that these measures are not overly burdensome or beyond what can be considered reasonable.
